The work of the Fire Department Emergency Management Office flows directly from the Fire Department mission statement:

"To protect life, property, and the economic base of the community. To plan for/prepare for/mitigate natural disasters, and protect the environment from man made disasters."

The Fire Department Emergency Management Office coordinates with and supports the work of the Island County Department of Emergency Management and the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management with the specific focus on the City of Stanwood and Camano Island and their unique requirements and issues.

Emergency preparedness begins at home as a personal, family, or business responsibility.  The EM Office will work to provide our citizens with the necessary information, planning, and training. On the following web pages you will find constantly changing information and links to other sites.  Please make use of this resource and if there is something you want and can't find let us know:  Mail Comments
