Winter Extreme Tide Analysis 2010-2011

Winter Storm Awareness [Seasonal]

The winter extreme high tide period for 2010-2011 will start after September 2010.  Beach level residents should still stay informed as to tide levels,  and predicted strong weather influences.  Tide levels vary greatly by area - beach community residents should check tide tables for their specific area.  A good site for tide prediction can be accessed at:

www.saltwatertides.com

All county residents should be alert for storm and high wind warnings.   The following link will take you to a simple analysis of the predicted extreme tides for the winter of 2010-2011.  Knowing what days are predicted to have extrmemly high tides and then watching the weather reports for high winds can provide valuable warning time to prepare for possible tidal flooding and beach erosion.
