Burn restrictions lifted in
A permanent ban on open burning remains in effect in the Cities of Oak Harbor,
If you live in an area where open burning is allowed and want to have a fire you must call (360) 679-7378 to obtain a burn permit. Fires under 4' in diameter do not require a burn permit, fires over 4' in diameter require a written burn permit. As always burning garbage and the use of burn barrels is illegal State Wide and subject to fines up to $1000.00.
If your property falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Natural Resources, please call (360) 856-3500 for burn permit information.

As a reminder, Camano Island Fire & Rescue is not responsible for issuing burn permits or enforcing burn bans. Permitting and enforcement is handled through the Island County Fire Warden and the Island County Sheriff's Department.
