Camano Island Fire & Rescue is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the implementation of a Part-Time Fire Fighter / EMT position(s). Part-Time Fire Fighter / EMT's work a rotating 12 hour or a 24 hour shift. Camano Island Fire & Rescue will utilize a written exam, oral interview, application review process, medical physical, and physical ability test to establish the list.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High School graduate or GED
- Washington State certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
- In good physical and mental health
- Must be willing to sign a waiver authorizing Camano Island Fire & Rescue to conduct background investigation to include: criminal history check, drivers check, and employment history verification.
- Must be certified as a IFSAC Fire Fighter 1
