Camano Island Fire and Rescue is governed by a board of five Commissioners elected to serve 6 year terms. These dedicated community members are responsible for developing the district's overall strategic plan and long term vision. Working closely with the administrative staff, they guide the district via the adoption of policies and procedures. In addition to their work for the residents of Camano Island they are also actively involved in State and County associations that address issues related to the delivery of fire and emergency medical services.

Commissioner meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month. In order to be more accessible to all the residents of Camano Island, some of the meetings will be held at different fire stations on the island. The meetings start at 7:30 pm.
